I’m sneezy and drippy. Hope you feel better soon!
So, she’s Queasy, you’re Sneezy; if I bring my headache and sore back to the party, can I be Grumpy?
Look after yourself ‘face.
The Ship will not leave town without you!
Nice going there.
I had to shift a whole stone last year,
the lard never stood a chance.
Here's a picture of Winnie the Pooh to celebrate your achievement.
I still have a cough, but it’s just a cough and not pneumonia anymore apparently.
Earlier we made shelves and a workbench for our new range trailer.
Tonight I am getting drunk.
Hope and pray that you feel better soon, ‘Face. :(
Hah! You are psychically (sp?) connected to our catz! Ninja went to sleep on my jacket so I had to stall about going out for awhile. (Constitutionally incapable of awakening a sleeping being.)
That’s funny. I didn’t see any distressed expressions. All I saw was gorgeosity in full bloom. Yay for y’all and thanks for posting!
Would you please translate “shift a whole stone”? Does that mean losing 20 lbs. or something. And howcome the lard never stood a chance. Did you have to keep lifting a whole stone’s worth multiple times? Please excuse ignorance—don’t think a websearch would help on this one.
Easy call.
Catz always helps in whatevers ways theys thinks.
[Imagine that said by a cat with that grin they do. NiMH told me as much a long time ago. Gonna miss that little freak.]
The Charity event came at 24hrs notice and coincided with a weight loss requirement.(personal not medical)
There are a set of Three ,3000 ft +- mountains here, one in each country. (Snowden, Scarfell Pike, Ben Nevis.)
The object of the exercise is to climb all three in 24 hours. Which we did...WooHoo!!!!!
I lost a Stone (14lb) and a quarter (3.5 lb) in that 24 hour period. A Charity event and a Diet all in one hit. And it has stayed off!
Okay not medically recommended ,but boy did it feel good!
Thank you very much! The instructor in the photography course is very negative about taking pictures in full sun - people squint and look uncomfortable, as we are.

In Scotland, the traditional measure of weight is a "stone," which equals 14 pounds. Block weights weighing two stones (28 lbs.) and four stones (56 lbs.) were used to balance scales for measuring grain. These weights were thrown by locals gathering around the grain store to determine who was the strongest man in the village. The contestant must keep at least one foot within the sidelines of the 4'6" wide and 9' deep throwing box at all times. The backline and frontline - marked by the toe board called a "trig" - cannot be crossed at any time during the throw.
I have it on some authority that ceasing to bash one's self in the skull with a hammer also feels very good.
These three ~3,000ft mountains; what is the base elevation? Beginning at sea level is considerably different than beginning at 8,000ft elevation.
That’s it Joe!
Strange system to use, but,it goes with the territory.
It sounds like you had a great time! I don’t think I’ve ever lost a stone and a quarter that quickly, not even when I had a baby!
Great quote on your page. Thank you.
“We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. ~ C.S. Lewis “
You should be getting something in the mail soon. Hubby mailed it on Sunday.
That’s from “The Abolition of Man”; MUST read.
