Sometimes people are just ... out. Once upon a time, and I don't think it was even as long as 50 years ago, you might have to wait weeks for someone to reply to your message. Of course, you could have paid extra for something known as "a long distance phone call" or even "an airmail stamp" and cut the time down, but many could not or would not afford such luxuries.
Now we have become so used to our technologies that we get impatient when it takes the Microwave 10 whole minutes to cook our dinner.

Pretty! I love spiders. We found a tiny one in the sink the other day, but it’s so cold out that we didn’t want to evict it. We put it in the basement.
If Darks gets his way, it will turn into an enormous prehistoric monster and have Bryan and me for dinner the next time we go downstairs to get a book from the library.
Sigh. Darks... He’s a great friend.

Actually no.
It would become a cybernetic mechanized engine of mayhem that would work to keep you very safe while making teh neighborhood much much weirder.

She didn't know what landmine she had triggered. Most don't. If most people knew how many landmines I have buried deep in my psyche I would probably have been euthanized by now. The triggers are hard to predict but easy to trip. The words were out. "Perhaps I've overstayed my welcome," she said. She had no idea what she was saying. They never do. But events were set in motion that could not be unset. The apology changed nothing. I had no more power to stop them than the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Once one of the mines is triggered, it is relentless.

Now paint it blue with silver trim, hand it a series of exteriro repair tools and you have a Spiderbot.

I have an Internet friend who sometimes smothers me with information about where he’s going to be, why, when, and with whom.
Other times, my emails go unanswered for hours, but I always find out later where he was.
I have learned patience about such things from him. So I thank him for that. It has helped me a lot with other things as well.

That thing has to be a movie star of some sort, right Joe?
Is it a miniature with a guy photoshopped in, or did they really make a full-sized animatronic giant monster spider?
Either way, coooool!!
To: Darksheare
I really liked that movie. However, I don’t recall the spider...? ;-)
To: TheOldLady
LOL, there was no spider.
Just a caption I gave that image.

Good morning, all.
It’s 44 and looks like it wants to be sunny, but the wind will be blowing most of the day.
Best of all, The Stig is coming out of his molt!!
