My favorite play of the season, was when the Chefs thought they had scored a touchdown, and then did "excessive celebrating in the end-zone," resulting in a penalty. But the best part of it was when the reply judges ruled that it wasn't a touchdown to begin with. So not only did the TD get called back, they still got hit with the penalty!

This is what kills me about the NFL. How can you be called for excessive celebration when replay indicates that what you're celebrating never happened? The Vikings got a penalty for 'taunting' yesterday on a play that was later overturned by replay, but the penalty on the non-existent play still stood. I can see letting a roughness penalty stand but this stuff just makes the NFL look like nerdball.

Frankly, the penalty should have been for "excessive stupidity!"

The thing is, although the TD was called back, there were a couple of guys who ran into the endzone to celebrate along with the guy who didn't score. It's not like they were congratulating him: More along the lines of, "Look what WE did!"

They were a bunch of a$$hats, and it was bad sportsmanship, not that it really matters too much these days.

Even though the touchdown never officially happened, the excessive celebration did really happen, which resulted in the penalty being called.
