This old woman is reprehensible - I assume that all civilized people will shun her for the remainder of her life. I hope some decent cat-burglar will steal Frankie back and return him to his rightful home. The family will still be out $20k, but at least they will have their pet.

My children and I lived for a few months with my parents while we were looking for a house in the area. My father “hates” cats, but my cat loved him. He would sit talking about how foul cats were, while she stood on his knee, being petted and sticking her claws into his skin. :)
