No. They helped put them in power.

Where do you get the idea that he Roman Catholic Church helped install Hitler and Mussolini?

Currently, the RCC is after what they have always coveted, Jerusalem, and their great concern is "social justice" for the dispossessed Palestinian Islamic terrorists, only because it serves their political needs for leverage against Israel to wrest away the object of their covetousness. In either century, the Jews draw the short straw, as is their fate until they come to recognize their real messiah.
Of course the RCC wants Jerusalem. But they also want to protect millions of Christians, who are all but hostages in Muslim lands.

German federal election, March 1933

"In addition to this, Hitler needed a two-thirds majority to pass the Enabling Act, a law which allowed the Cabinet to enact laws without the approval of the Reichstag for a four-year period. He obtained this majority by persuading the Catholic Centre Party to vote with him with regard to the Reichskonkordat. The bill was passed on 23 March with 444 against 94 votes. Only the Social Democrats led by Otto Wels opposed the measure, which came into effect on 27 March. Several Social Democratic deputies were kept from attending, but even if all 120 Social Democrats had been present the measure would have still passed with the required supermajority. The powers gained from the bill turned the Hitler government into a de facto legal dictatorship.

Within four months, the other parties had been eliminated either by formal banning or Nazi terror, and Germany was firmly a one-party state."

Reichskonkordat

"The Reichskonkordat was a treaty between the Holy See and Nazi Germany, that guaranteed the rights of the Roman Catholic Church in Germany. It was signed on 20 July 1933 by Secretary of State Eugenio Pacelli (who later became Pope Pius XII) and Vice Chancellor Franz von Papen on behalf of Pope Pius XI and President Paul von Hindenburg respectively. The Reichskonkordat is the most controversial of several concordats agreed between various states and the Vatican during the reign of Pope Pius XI and is frequently discussed in works that deal with the rise of Hitler in the early 1930s and the Holocaust. The concordat has been described as giving moral legitimacy to the Nazi regime soon after Hitler had acquired dictatorial powers, and placing constraints on Catholic critics of the regime, leading to a muted response by the Church to Nazi policies. From a Roman Catholic church perspective it has been argued that the concordat prevented even greater evils being unleashed against the Church. Though the German bishops were unenthusiastic, and the Allies felt it was inappropriate, Pope Pius XII argued to keep the concordat at the end of World War II and the treaty is still in force today.

Lateran Treaty

The Lateran Treaty was one of the Lateran Pacts of 1929 or Lateran Accords, agreements made in 1929 between the Kingdom of Italy and the Holy See, signed on February 11, 1929 and ratified by the Italian parliament on June 7, 1929, ending the "Roman Question". Italy was then under a Fascist government; the succeeding democratic governments have all upheld the treaty. The Lateran Pacts were in 1947 incorporated into the democratic Constitution of Italy.[1]

Negotiations for the settlement of the Roman Question began in 1926 between the government of Italy and the Holy See, and culminated in the agreements of the Lateran Pacts, signed—the Treaty says[3]—for King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy by Benito Mussolini, Prime Minister and Head of Government, and for Pope Pius XI by Pietro Gasparri, Cardinal Secretary of State, on February 11, 1929. The agreements were signed in the Lateran Palace, hence the name by which they are known.

The agreements included a political treaty which created the state of the Vatican City and guaranteed full and independent sovereignty to the Holy See. The Pope was pledged to perpetual neutrality in international relations and to abstention from mediation in a controversy unless specifically requested by all parties. In the first article of the treaty, Italy reaffirmed the principle established in the 4 March 1848 Statute of the Kingdom of Italy, that "the Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Religion is the only religion of the State".[4] The attached financial agreement was accepted as settlement of all the claims of the Holy See against Italy arising from the loss of temporal power in 1870.
Silence for Thirty Pieces of Silver

The Jews have been after the Vatican to make available the Secret ("private") Vatican Archives to historians and scholars during the WWII years. So far Pope Benedict XVI has only allowed it up to 1939, and repeated efforts to open up the period from 1940 - 1946 has been turned down because of "technical difficulties", "we only have two guys working on it", or, as one cardinal has stated, "we are just trying to keep from hurting the Jews and Catholic-Jews relations". Right. 68 years later, still no access. The most important information that could possibly settle this longstanding dispute between "Christians" and Jews is not available.

The most "transparent" regime award goes to the RCC, Obama doesn't even come close. Just keep delaying and obfuscating and it will soon be forgotten, meanwhile keep the RCC apologists out there beating the drum and whitewashing history to hide their dark involvement in it.

The Left derides the "Religious Right" for saying anything.
The Right condemns Islam and Sharia Law.(rightfully so)
Silence for the RCC's political intrigues down through history for risk of being bashed, called haters or Hellbound seed of Satan(the defense of last resort).

Of course the RCC wants Jerusalem. But they also want to protect millions of Christians, who are all but hostages in Muslim lands.

So once again the Pope is on a course of appeasement to evil for the greater good, or is it for political gain? How'd that work out in the past?
