I pray one day the People of China will be Free from Communist Oppression and we can have real Trade with them instead of Ubama's Soviet Commissars.
The unions should be reminded of this — this is what oppression looks like, not your $150K job with $3MM benefit package for doing low-skilled assembly work that any uneducated peasant in any third world country can do.
Several years ago, there was an email going around warning people that Christmas Lights and Christmas Decorations made in China were the product of forced labor by Chinese Christians who had been arrested for their faith. Evidently, it gave the Jailers a kind of sick pleasure knowing that they could make money from American Christians by torturing and enslaving Chines Christians.
I have never bought a single Christmas light set since, and my old ones are burning out. It is impossible to find ones NOT made in China.
China is the great place Obama lovers keep citing as a “model” for us.
China would be about as well off as Russia today were it not for a prominent party leader who decided all the communist austerity stuff was bunk and said it would be glorious to get rich — not long before Richard Nixon smelled opportunity and paid China a historic visit. That’s probably better than being grindingly poor, even though the labor opportunities are not as nice as the norm in Western countries. China has “unions” but they are a mockery; they are state run guilds and the state forever gets the better end of the bargain. (Not that I’d lament it if something like that happened here and suddenly the SEIU was 0wned by the governments of California instead of vice versa.)
Barack Obama wants to make the USA worse off than China.
There is no way they’d tolerate a China-like government here if they actually got it.
I’d still wonder about Chinese who had the audacity, not just to tuck a note into a set of cheap trinkets, but who would say just where they came from, which breathless US media would flash all over the place. You just don’t DO that in China. And someone apparently taught the writer pretty good English. This is not Engrish. It might not be what it appears to be, even though labor conditions aren’t as nice in China as in most of the West.
I do not know if this is the case. Such people might take cheer from the idea that they are helping Western Christians celebrate Christmas, in spite of their earthly circumstance — if matters of God truly are uppermost in their thoughts, as rigorous conditions tend to do in the lives of genuine believers. In a way it’s like the Chinese-made Christmas cards I see in some dollar and discount stores. I buy them in good conscience because they’re a witness in the factory that makes them.
Either this is an elaborate hoax (I doubt it) or an educated person with a decent command of the English language (educated in the West at some point probably) is imprisoned (for political/religious reasons) in the great Chinese Gulag Archipelago of factories through out the workers paradise of Communist China. Remember folks, it is still a Communist led country where dissent is not tolerated, much less anything else. The fact that they’re practicing consumerism (the heart of communism, really, given a spiritual purpose in life is non-existent except for those who attempt to practice Falungong) makes sense eventually. Less rioting, more control and well, happy workers, just what every dictator appreciates and will pay any price to achieve. Pray for them and their eventual freedom. Merry Christmas.

As several point out at the site I think it’s fake. The english, writing and syntax is better than most of the instruction manuals that come from China.
The letter appears to have been written on a project planning pad of some sort (note printed space at the bottom to insert the page number and date), and appears to have been written with a fountain pen.

Sam Lu's Personal Experience: Why Are China's Products so Cheap?
I used to be a graduate student in Georgia State University in 1996. I'd like to share my personal experience to let people know why some products from China are so cheap.
Before I returned to the USA in February 2001, I worked as a tax auditor in China for 9 years. On June 7, 2000, I was arrested in China only because I handed in a letter at the State Appeal Bureau in Beijing to express my opinion about Falun Gong, which is a traditional exercise based on “Truthfulness—Compassion—Forbearance”, and is being persecuted in China. I was put in a jail in Guangdong Province for almost two months.
Here I will not mention how the Chinese government persecuted family church members, Tibetan Monks and Falun Gong practitioners .I only want to let you know how some products from China are made and why they are so cheap.
In prison, I was forced to work on export products such as toys and shopping bags without pay .I still remember one of the shopping bags was printed with “National Gallery of Art (# #)”
The cell was only about 300 sq. feet in size, with 20 prisoners and one toilet inside. They slept and worked in the cell.
Sometimes we were forced to work until 2:00 am to keep up with the schedule. They only provided two meals a day (only once a week you have meat in your food). In other words, being hungry, you still need to work more than 15 hours per day.
The police used a wire whip to beat you if you did not do a good job or you could not keep up with the schedule.
During this desperate time in prison, I was always wondering who gave them the business and who helped them to abuse us.
Now the same kind of tragedy is happening to my wife. She was sentenced to forced labor camp for three years without any trial and without a lawyer only because she handed out flyers in the street to clarify to the Truth about Falun Gong. She has already been detained for more than 34 months.
In my wife's letter to my parents, she mentioned that she was forced to do embroidery work for export. The hard work, malnutrition and torture made my wife almost lose her eyesight.
In that female labor camp alone where my wife is detained now, about 3000 female Falun Gong practitioners have been detained there and forced to work for export business.
According to human rights organizations, there are more than 100,000 Falun Gong practitioners detained in China's Forced Labor Camps .How many people other than Falun Gong practitioners are detained in forced labor camps and prisons and are forced to work without pay for China's export business? Who knows?

It would be interesting if somebody could determine whether the Chinese parts of the message are as articulate as the English parts.
The commie determination to stamp out Falun Gong appears irrational from an American perspective. From the Chinese perspective, not so much.
China has a looonnnnggg history of cults turning into major threats to the government.
Check out the Taiping Rebellion. By far the deadliest war of the 19th century, 20M to 50M dead.
