"Alabama has become one of those States that is on the first line of defense," said Palmer, particularly in regards to Obama's signature health care legislation, which 14 states including Alabama have passed constitutional amendments against. Furthermore, at least 25 states have refused to establish state exchanges, and a growing number are taking the Court-ordered liberty to opt out of Medicaid expansion.
Santorum agreed with Palmer, saying, "what the States can do is hold the line. You can hold the line against what this president is doing to this country."
"Do not look to Congress to do this," the 16-year-veteran of Congress advised. "It will not happen. The president won't let it happen. The only opening that's available as a result of the Court decision is right here in Alabama and the other states that are willing to step up and fight the implementation of the exchanges and Medicaid."
Why did the American electorate not overwhelmingly reject Obama's liberal agenda at the national level in the 2012 elections?
Santorum indicated that we are now at a cultural level beyond mere talking points of government dependency. It will take a revived individual resolve to elevate the dialogue . . .

It might also be accomplished by total economic collapse, which is very likely, and very close. The pain and loss from this will be great. The patriots will prevail.

Congress seems incapable of protecting our rights at this point but the states themselves are actually advancing them.
And to think he could and should have been our new President. Too bad we have so many stupid people around!!!!
The man who SHOULD have run for President. A guy who CAN inspire people and a genuine conservative instead of a flip-flopping surrender monkey.
We could have had him as president. Sigh. People were fooled by newt and his righteous media anger, one of newts many sides.

I voted for him in the primary. He had a good run against the Romney machine - which fell apart against obama. RINOs can only use hard-core tactics against conservatives. Then, of course, you had all those who reminded us that Santorum lost huge for his re-election bid as a Senator in PA. I don’t have the details, but is it possible that this was the year the Demons swept national elections?
I sure don’t understand what’s wrong with the American voting public. And, I’m going to say it right here and now - I’m glad Newt went down. As much as I admired his tenacity against the MSM, he is a RINO as well. I can’t get that picture of him sitting with Pelosi out of my mind. I also don’t understand Sarah’s vote for him against Santorum.
I do think, however, that Santorum kind of makes me nervous the way he stutters and stammers. Maybe he can overcome this because I think he is planning another run in 2016.
Agreed. We are now beyond the ballot box. Its going to take the economic crash to get this country back.
