The plan as outlined in the article begins with the new house in January when they annually vote for a leader.

If this will be anything like the primaries where the conservatives couldn’t agree on a candidate this should be lotsa fun.

No.

Pretty sure that's not how it works. I think the Caucus elects leadership in the first days of the new Congress, or before the session...no long campaigns.
