Absurd, in my opinion. The first sign is a reminder of a law, in this case mostly aimed at students who might bring a gun to school.
I doubt the thought of an armed staff would deter crazies like this guy. They tend to plan on going out in a blaze of fire anyway. And most of them end up doing just that. An armed staff could have saved some lives today, but not all of them.
I’m not against arming more citizens. But to say it’s going to PREVENT tragedies is just not true, unless we put armed guards at checkpoints and perhaps snipers around the playground.

The key line in the article... “With 14 incidents stopped by police with a total of 200 dead thats an average of about 14.3. With 15 incidents stopped by civilians and 35 dead thats an average of 2.3.”
And not all the incidents stopped by civilians included firearms.
