For all the talk about the supposed Mayan doomsday, nobody bothered to notify the public about the Mayans having calendars for time periods that extend past this coming winter solstice. Because the Mayans kept calendars in groups of years, clueless idiots were assuming the Mayans had predicted finis at the end of the current group of years. Modern Mayans have already been complaining, but they never got the press they deserved.
