I'm curious about this 12.12.12 relief concert. Why do they need financial support from private citizens? New York and New Jersey voted for a candidate that promised big government is the solution to their problems. Has the government not provided for all their needs after the hurricane destruction?
I just gave the full line up - I really don't care for Keys, Martin, or West. Joel is ok - if he plays the old stuff ...
Waters KICKED ASS - tunes from "The Wall" and "Dark Side Of The Moon".
Clapton is JAMMIN' right now - "Got To Get Better In A Little While" ...
Clapton playin’ “Crossroads” now ...
“My city is gone” - Bruce Stringbean
“My country is gone” - AFIP
yeah let uncle sugar do it
I wouldn’t pay one red cent for it. If Hank Jr. was on it, yeah.
That was what George Harrison realized after the concert for Bangladesh and not much has changed ever since when cameras are involved.
The Stones are about 20 minutes after Clapton ...
Oh no, Webb Hubbell’s daughter reading the teleprompter!
I completely agree!
Those poor basta**s pay some of the highest takes in the country, at both the state and federal levels. Now, kick in extra for what is suppose to be already provided for?
I was in OfficeMax last week and was asked for a contribution for the teachers? I told them no, the teachers in NY and NJ are some of the highest compensated people in the country, why do they need a contribution from me? Heck, I’m totally disabled, living on an ever decreasing fixed income!
Wasn’t FEMA suppose to be the answer to all our emergency needs. Now, just more da**ed federal hacks drawing a pay check (very large paycheck) and doing nothing.
State “death spiral” visiting NY and NJ next!
Let Obama fixed it
This country has lost its way. What a bunch of pu**ies we’ve all become. Even back as recent as Andrew - the people just picked up, rebuilt, or moved on. Between then and now, everything has changed. And not for the better.
Oops - Stones are on about 10-15 mins. after Clapton ...
Politics aside, I feel as old as sh*t.
Every performer so far is 50+. Many older than that.
Do all the little young pencil di&ks who are texting 666 or what ever to donate $$$ even know who the performers are?
Rock and roll is indeed dead (or getting there).
What do the performers get out of it, inquiring minds want to know? Do they perhaps get paid on paper and then “donate” the funny money to the cause and get a tax write-off? Who pays their costs, which ain’t just spare change for groups like the Stones?
Here by the way where the live stream is:

Saw on the news tonite that FEMA would not put trailers in people's driveways since they were in "flood zones" ...
Didn't matter that these "flood zones" were in the "once every 100 years" zones ...
Stones on now ...
Mick is close to being 70 years old...
He still wiggles like a weeble but don’t fall down!
Keith’s doin’ a good job on “You Got Me Rockin’” ...
“Largest collection of old English musicians ever assembled in Madison Square Garden,” tonight according to Mick ...
Stones were already in NYC on tour - playing a concert there over the weekend ...
