I sit on a local child abuse prevention council. One of our communities of about 300 people has 7 registered sex offenders. Our local domestic violence non-profit has a program that uses big puppets to talk to children about good touch/bad touch and what to do.
I made sure the local elementary school board was aware of the program and suggested they use it.
We have had several high profile child abuse cases in our county. In one of them the guy stole the little girl from her bed, took her up to the woods, abused her and buried her alive. She clawed her way out of the mud after he had left and was found wandering in her underwear by some miners.
You have to protect these kids with some awareness. Pretending they aren’t at risk is stupidity.
And you think 2 years old is the appropriate time to teach ‘sexual abuse awareness’?
