I am in awe!

You are a great example of what it’s going to take: people not being afraid to confront the evil. Enough is enough!

Yup.

Obama could have the Ruby Ridge Postal Stamp made now, and then start selling it to us on the day that his illegal Obama”care” Dictate takes full effect.

Sort of a hidden suggestion for us to “Pay Or I Spray” reality check - - - .

IN awe! really........it's lots of fun to get "REVENGE".

I forgot to say that my front doors were double doors with panes. So I could see them coming up my driveway before they got to the door. I was ready.....

Hear this one: I lived at that time off a major street. Listening to the boom boxes all evening. About 2 a.m., I had enough.

Called the Police: get someone out here and stop that noise, people are trying to sleep.

Officer asked: where do you live?

ME: Your kidding?, you know where I live, you see it on your screen.

Officer said: we don't know who it is.

I said: it's the only car on the street right now, going up and down, headed that way.

Officer said: There is no law against that.

I said: really? I think it is called disturbing the peace. Oh, never mind, I've got my shotgun, I'll take care of the problem. Click and I hung up. rofl....

Went to my front door, looked out and lo and behold about 3 cop cars roaming up and down..........hahahahaha.

I think they were looking for that crazy OLD lady with her shotgun. rofl....., but the noise stopped and I got a good nights sleep.

Technically, the entire population in the world could live in Texas. Go check it out.

It’s Texas...Everyone and their dog knows how to make a rocket launcher out of a weed-eater and gunpowder.

hahahaha! “Obama would still has 57”, Classic!

I’m pretty sure myself and the rest of Oklahoma will aid TX if O man decides it would be best to kill all the Texans first. I wouldn’t mind leaving the US to become a Texan.

Someone at Vox Day posted this idea for a California proposition.

Article 1. The Constitution of the State of California, and all the Laws of of the State of California, are hereby repealed; except that Proposition 13 is retained.

Article 2. The Constitution of the State of Texas, is hereby adopted as the Constitution of California, and the Laws of the State of Texas are adopted as the Laws of California.

Our Slogan: No New Taxes — Yes, New Texas!

I understand the point about North vs South Korea, but that's too extreme. It took a terrible war and the backing of Mao to let the Kim dynasty create its nightmare of centralized planning, and that won't happen in America in just a few years. It took decades for the Kim dynasty to do its damage with much more control than any American president.

A better parallel might be Western Europe by the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s versus the United States. One set of governments was reaping the consequences of a generation of socialism while the United States was turning away from socialism. We are now seeing the collapse of the economy of Greece and several other nations are close to the brink.

However, let's back off from talk about secession of Texas or anyplace else. It might be fun to talk about for some people, but it's not going to happen, especially with President Obama who is a student of Lincoln and the Civil War. I could imagine some liberal Democratic president down the road agreeing to a peaceful withdrawal by some of the conservative states that cause him problems, but it will not be Obama doing that.

We need to focus our energies on things that actually can work, and that means preparing to repeat in 2014 what happened in the 2010 elections, hopefully showing to the Republican Party that conservative policies win elections while RINO policies lose.

In theory, peaceful secession is merely a discussion of politics. But as for advocating violent overthrow of the government — I haven't seen that here yet, but if someone starts to advocate it, that needs to be shut down immediately. Those of us who care about original intent of the Constitution need to pay careful attention to the definition of treason.

Again, I am not accusing anyone of advocating the violent overthrow of the government. What I **AM** saying is that what we write is being watched. Advocating secession is a waste of time we could be using to do something productive, but I hope everyone advocating that realizes they need to steer very clear of things that are legally defined as treason.

It's already been asked on this thread how conservatives will communicate with each other in a country that bans things like Free Republic. All it would take would be a few trolls and disruptors to advocate violent revolution to give federal agents entirely valid constitutional grounds to investigate a lot of people on this website.

Let's not make that kind of mistake.

Q. How would Texas create valid deterrents and defend itself from foreign invasion including the U.S.?

A. Insurgents always beat organizsed, mechanized militaries. So you don't need an army, you just need an entire male population, armed and ready to become insurgents....From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war..."

To the persons who communicated re: this post... What I'm suggesting, as a national DEFENSE for an independent Texas (or Vermont, or Alberta), is not greatly different from what Switzerland does. Most Swiss men of the right age, are part of the Swiss Army, keep their military rifles at home when not on duty, and engage in regular military training. The purpose of this, is exactly as I described in that original post: "Nobody will attack, nobody will invade." In other words, PEACE.

Heavily armed Switzerland, is one of the most peaceful, low-crime, and LEAST terrorist country in the world. Forget Texas secession -- if America ever recovers her sanity, I'd advocate the Swiss model for America herself. After all, the founding fathers plainly stated that we needed a "well regulated militia", noting that the 18th century phrase, well-regulated, in this context had a connotation of military preparedness.

For the one person who thought I was advocating terrorism -- NO -- and, I'm sorry you got the wrong impression. I want the exact opposite: a free, armed, neutral republic, that can prevent or fend off any attack, but otherwise, minds its own business.
