Of course they have the power. The question is do they want to use it.
Bonehead and Cantor want to move on to working out a grand bargain
with Obama. So what if a few Americans got murdered.

Yes. Additionally (at least according to Fox radio news this afternoon), Patraeus has said that he will testify.

Not sure what to make of this report.

They do, and John Bolton said they can subponea him, but it probably won’t make it possible before the hearings coming up next week. He also said Petraeus may also lawyer up before he does.
