The problem with the current system is that some people actually try to make it in the free market economy while others just look to government to give them everything.

I’ve often thought it would be much more fair that if we are going to have socialism, just let it apply to everyone. At least that way, everyone would know where they stand.

In a way we would have probably been just as well off if the Dems had taken control of the House also. If they had, then we could move more quickly toward socialism because that is where we are headed anyway. The faster we get there the faster the people who voted for Obama will find out just how bad it will be. This slow drip toward socialism is like Chinese water torture, drip, drip, drip !!

The even bigger problem will be that the people who do make it in the private sector will use their gains to by bigger TV's, nicer cars, better homes, and fancier vacations. Eventually, the takers depending on the government for everything will begin demanding also the bigger TV's and fancier cars, too, for no other reason than that the earners have them and the takers want them, too.
