Boycotts never work. Move on to plan B.
Don't think of it as a boycott. Think of it as not giving your hard-earned money to people who will use that money against you.
And yes, it works.
The effective type of ‘boycott’ is one in which you don't waste your time trying to selectively ‘defund’ a specific company, but one in which you spend your money very selectively on products and services from companies who share at least part of your world view. Reward those who deserve it.
To that end, it really is important that we identify amongst ourselves who we feel is worthy of our economic support. One thing I will personally do is to spend money more selectively on books from authors who deserve support, and avoid spending a dime at the movies. I have absolutely no desire to fund Hollywood. In fact, I would suggest watching foreign subtitled movies if you need a movie ‘fix’, and teach yourself a foreign language in the process.
They never work do they. Well why do I see companies send up the white flag every time some lefty organization nobody ever heard of before even threatens one. They work, because corporate America dances to the left’s tune every time they are threatened with one.
“Boycotts never work. Move on to plan B.”
Sure they do. Think Chick-Fil-A in reverse. It didn’t take long to get the message out and everyone saw the results. Support those who share your views and starve the ones that don’t.
