Hear, hear. God obviously either hates us, or doesn't exist. I am leaning toward the latter. Praying is obviously useless and a waste of time. At least the liberal god government is real and tangible. They can always pray for more free stuff and it magically appears. When conservatives pray, we get Obama and more democrat senators.
My dad is a devout born-again. I told him 4 months ago that I was going to get a big promotion that was offered to me. He said he prayed and prayed for me to be successful with my new position. Turns out, I didn't get the job because my company didn't get the money they wanted from the contract. I ended up getting laid off instead of getting the promotion. So, thanks for the prayers, but they worked as well as they always do...
So God is a toy dispenser? Deposit a prayer and collect a prize?
Prayer is simply dialogue with God. It is certainly permissible to request favors from God. But we have to realize that sometimes the answer will be, "no." God always knows what's best for us. We don't.
