You are so tied up in a narrow as hell righteous view that you cannot even understand what I am driving at. It is plain words. There is no more way to get throughIt is like the conservatives who all cheered when Bush got his Homeland Security Act. I only saw that it seems good but Democrats are going to be in charge of it sooner then we think. What then? well, we are starting to find out “what then?”. We put a Democrat president in jail ooutside of the impeachment process. So far so good- he deserves it. Then the following Republican president will be followed by a DEMOCRAT president with a DEMOCRAT attorney general. He will put the Republican president in jail for whatever they can dream up and there is no recourse. Do you think a good man would even run for the Republican nomination after that? The whole political system would turn quickly into a 1960s Latin American Caudillo system where the only people who would run for president are those who think they can grab the system and stay there until they die. It is the only attitude that makes existential sense. But you won’t see any of that. You only think that this president has committed crimes and must be sent to prison. If he has committed crimes, judicial or political, impeach him while he is in office. Don’t destroy the Republic by hounding him after he leaves office. If your own immediate satisfaction is more important than the survival of the Republic, well, there is no helping you or discussing with you.
