It’s the first thing he’s going to have to deal with so I’m sure he doesn’t want to do anything to complicate matters.

That’s precisely right.

This stroy is exploding at an exponential geometric rate.

I understand that Mr. Woods has accused Obama of murder now.

That is devastating. Furthermore, it’s true.

But with regard to Romney not addressing this, there is nothing the murderer can say to shift attentionor blame or anything else.

The deaths of these heroes is in his lap, it is his responsibility. It let good men die. He let men so far and so much better than he die.

He is a despicable rat.

And it is apparent for everyone to see.

He got the top secret briefing. If he pushes on it now knowing Obama gave the stand down order he’s breaching his security clearance.

Watch a liar squirm here. Obama interviewed by an actual reporter today Denver station.

It would be emotionally comforting for Romney to speak out forcefully about what appears to be - at the very least - a criminal level of neglect at the highest levels of the executive branch, that cost four Americans their lives.

However, this is not Romney’s problem. He had absolutely nothing to do with it. His information is less than complete, and he probably can’t trust that the information he’s been given hasn’t been manipulated in some way.

I don’t think he can make a positive contribution to the situation by involving himself in it, other than to express a general level of concern about the nature of the White House response mechanism.

Perhaps he could say something to the effect that he “hopes that all records pertaining to the timeline and field communications will be preserved for future analysis.”

The MSM is still “standing down” on the story in order to help their man. The msm is just pathetic at best.

Spot on. I think he had this figured prior to the last debate too, and by handling it as he did, he did not give Obama yet another opportunity to spin and lie about it.

Romney is not the Commander in Chief (yet) and he is not the news media. The President is OBLIGATED to tell the American People what the hell is going on, and he is failing to do so. The media has a responsibility to investigate and report, but we know they have abdicated that role for decades now. But neither of the above facts makes it Romney’s job to report, investigate, or attack. He can and should stay above this fiasco, which is “sins of hte past” while focusing on his plans to move the nation and especially the economy toward prosperity.

I agree. He would be a fool to get involved in a story that is changing and growing every hour. He is not a reporter and he is not a government official. As a candidate for POTUS just over a week from the election anything he says will turn the whole story into a political circus.

We have loads of press if they would do their jobs. We have hired loads of Congress Critters to take responsibility for oversight of the Executive Branch if they would just do their jobs.

The ONLY way that 99% of the people will know about this is if Romney brings it up and runs TV ads on it.

Romney doesn’t need to say much, but the Repub “leadership” ought to be. Where are they? Or are they, too, being squelched by the State Run Media? So far all I’ve heard about is a “strongly worded letter” that Boehner sent to Obozo, which I’m sure was used on the first available bowel movement at 1600 PA Ave.

Reason #4: By Mitt remaining silent, the MSM cannot shift the narrative to an attack on Romney. Recall, when Romney initially — and correctly — criticized Obama for apologizing for the “video,” Romney was attacked for “jumping the gun” and the media ran stories how Romney’s “gaffe” could be the final blow to an already fragile campaign. Then we had the Candy Crowley setup, along with the allegations that Romney was “politicizing” the Benghazi “tragedy.” No need for Mitt to personally fuel the flames. He is staying on message and remaining upbeat.

The best thing to do for Romney is to keep talking economy while the media talks Libya. Win from two fronts - CHECK...MATE.

It's obvious that there are anonymous insiders in the State Dept. and/or the Intelligence Community who are leaking information as to what really happened

There's a whiff of Clinton in the air...

...and Drudge will keep this issue front and center

LOL!
I wouldn't count on Drudge. For Drudge, the weather trumps everything.

Hopefully, when Barry and the ‘RATS suggest Romney “suspend” his campaign and come to Washington to discuss this “crisis”, Romney tells Barry to take a hike. Don’t take the bait.

Indeed the Obama Stream Media (OSM) is totally covering up this issue. A google search of “Obama Benghazi” and selecting the “News” option turns up crickets amongst the OSM right now. The only news stories are from conservative web sites and Fox News. This is almost beyond comprehension that a conspiracy of this magnitude is being carried out by the OSM. They are far better organized and more coherent in their ability to control the news than I imagined was possible.

Yup. He can leave the attacks to Sununu, Giuliani, et al. The SuperPacs must be churning out some devastating ads as we speak. I hope that PAC of ex Special Ops troops is getting enough support, too. I think I’ll send them some bucks.
