In 2008 there were Obama bumper stickers and lawn signs everywhere here in Vermont, and also in Maine where we spend the summer.
Now I still see some Obama 2008 bumper stickers on cars, but very, very few Obama 2012 stickers.
And where I saw hundreds of Obama lawn signs, I have seen maybe one or two.
Now, it could be that Obama isn’t bothering to campaign in Vermont, because there’s no way he can lose it. But still, I’d expect these folks to be ordering signs and stickers on the internet. But no.
There are tons of signs for Schumlin for governor, Bernie for Senator, and so forth, but none for Obama.
I expect he’ll win the state, but the enthusiasm is gone.
When I dine with my liberal inlaws, they spend some time bashing Romney—last night it was Bindergate (which I pointed out was a rather trivial issue)— but they have virtually nothing to say about Obama.
Wouldn't the BO signs be available at the local D county headquarters, the same place they'd be picking up the other candidates' signs?
