"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

Thanks Gina. What’s going on?

I had a run in with an idiot neighbor about their barking dog this weekend. It’s amazing how crazy people are.

Vision, that’s the pits! A barking dog is an extreme irritant. I hope it all worked out okay with the neighbor.

We just got back from seeing Argo. Besides the unnecessarily excessive profanity, it was good picture, very intense. I know Atlas Shrugged II opened this wknd, but I wanted to see Argo this time.

I was home sick one day, and the neighbor's dog barked the whole time it was outside.

What's worse was that it had on one of those cone things.

Great for projecting the bark [away from the neighbor herself...].

You have no idea the barking going on. 4 houses around me, with inconsiderate neighbors and barking- one wakes me up a little before 5am a few times a week. And it's a decent neighborhood for crying out loud.

Anyway...never heard of Argo. Atlas S II would be good to see.

I'm still locked into antioch!

Oh, that’s a bummer! You were sick on top of it, too—amplifying it even more than the cone!

First, go talk to the neighbor. If that doesn’t work call animal control. There are also barking deterrents.

People can really be oblivious. It’s sad!

Argo is the story of our CIA working with the Canadians to rescue the 6 Americans who slipped out of our embassy in Iran when the other 66 were taken and held in ‘79.

Mr. Fund Raising Guy is intolerable. I have little patience for these types of guys- they're everywhere around here.

No, we don’t usually go to more than one, maybe two, movies a year.

I guess they’re not going to do part 2, that I posted. Didn’t realize then that it was a Big Bird fundraiser night. You’re right about the fundraiser guy, Vision.

That made me get a little misty—with Miss Kitty so upset, too. It was sad. Shoot those bastards in the belly...

Yea. Gunsmokes can be intense, that wild west rawness delivers the authenticity.
