I hope everyone carrying books back to 742AD Europe are capable of explaining paper. :)

That being said (and completely applicable to all three of these,) my three items:
One roll of duct tape.
One metal cup.
One Gerber Gator machete.

Well, if we’re going to get all picky about period appropriateness you’d better bone up on archaic European languages before you pop out of here, because you’re not going to be able to explain anything at all otherwise.

Even English as spoken today would likely sound like gibberish to an individual from the 8th century. Ever read Chaucer in the original Middle English? That’s from six hundred years later.
