Steve Howe at # 61? Any ‘greatest guitarists’ poll without him in the top 5 is bogus.
Absolutely! Also what about Robben Ford, Michael Hedges and Andy McKee?
#42
Lifeson and Angus too high, Jerry Cantrell too low.
other than that not a bad list
Angus is one of the best guitar soloists out there, but lesser known Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar) is the driving force in that band.
And no Steve Hackett (Gabriel-era Genesis)? Really?
I scanned the list but Prince isn’t on it? Ridiculous...
Purdue Grad, 1988. but I live near Valpo.
Where’s Adrian Belew? Good enough to play with Zappa and Fripp, and he’s not on the list?
Missed one. Dimebag Darrell?
Really?
There is also one they differ to. Most in country music today say he's the best in country music. Played with Garth Brooks until he made it on his own.
Keith Urban
Notice The Edge from U2 didn’t even make the Top 100. Fascinating. Neither did Scholz from Boston or Schon from Journey.
Yngwie at #43, no mention of Randy Rhodes?
I don’t buy it.
EVH didn’t really do anything spectacular after 1984.
I think the gave the 'Edge's' award to his delay box.
This is the second shitty Guitarist list I’ve seen this week.
Exactly. How can one argue against a man that can play lead guitar and act(?) like he’s having a full-blown epileptic seizure at the same time.
