Sure, they will riot, but once they have burned down a few stores and looted them, probably the urge will subside. In fact they will conclude that a riot is about as effective as an Obama presidency for “gettin stuff.”

It is not too bad if you cast your own bullets and reload your own cartridges. The equipment pays for itself fairly quickly depending on how much you shoot. It costs about five cents a round to reload pistol brass with a cast bullet.

And the proper authorities SHOULD make every effort to track down people who say these things and make an example out of them TODAY. It’s a threat, and there’s no reason to wait and see if people who talk like this act on their threats. Freedom of Expression does not give people the right to behave this way.

Uh, we’re not a democracy - we’re a republic. By definition, “democracy” IS mob rule. Our formation as a republic was designed to protect our liberty.

Oh, I’m aware we are technically a republic, not a democracy but democracy, in the current form of the word, is an orderly rule of the people. Mob rule is not. Mob rule is a subgroup exercising tyranny over the rest of us, which is what we are becoming.

It depends on how many bodies you want around afterwards. The problem is that you would want to keep them well OFF your property line. At the later trial, what will you tell the jury, as your justification for shooting somebody a hundred yards away from your house?
During the Rodney King riots, the Korean store owners would fire at the ground near the feet of the rioters to convince them to back off, and to indicate the red line. Doing it that way, maybe one shot per minute, results in the expenditure of 600 rounds over the course of the night.
Then again, if it turns into general war, then the concept of trials go out the window. If there are thousands of dead, and thousands of shooters, there will be no trials. What there will in place of trials, of course, will be determined by whether Obama is still in charge, and who is willing to follow his orders.
As for me, I choose to have a lot of ammo available. A friend of mine once told me "You're going to run out of luck before you run out of ammo". That's how I like it.
