well the title says it all!
O...M...G...I cannot go to any biker function without hearing that, Ride, Sally, Ride or Cocaine.
I’m allergic to them all, now.
Allison...my aim is true.
[and what *is* so funny about peace, love and understanding?!?]
I bet you listened to The Greaseman on DC101, didn’t ya?
Ok, so your really hard core rock, with a soft side.
What’s not to like.
As long as you listen to the words, everything is cool.
Live “I alone” ?

I used to own 23 Costello albums.
Always had on either WMAL or WTOP when I was driving.
If a song has no -good- lyrics to back it up, I'm not interested.
[okay..Iron Butterfly, excepted]
That's why I'm into Tull, BOC, Alice, NIN, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, TON, Danzig, etc.
If they can't feed my head, the music is superfluous.
[I may make you feel but I can't make you think...]
Aw...I’m sorry you missed The Greaseman.
He was a total trip.
Are you in NoVa?
Try to get 106.9 FM if you can.
Really good *classic* rock.
Here’s a 70 year old American living in Norway, plays to full houses all over Europe.
Seasick Steve, live in The Netherlands
Steve is accompanied by drummer Dan Magnussen
(former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones has been joining them, lately as well on some gigs)

On the first 5 songs, Steve plays 5 different guitars, mostly homemade
I saw him about 18 months ago at a small theater in Los Angeles on a rare visit to the states
But I’m eclectic as hell, though.
Totally mad for Tito Larriva

I guess that’s kinda Tex-Mex-blues...or something.
[pinging Shibumi for the cruelty factor, again]
Tull is my favorite.
I have a dozen ideas to put his stuff to a more modern videos.
I just don’t have the talent, got the vision, no talent.
Just one:
“Too old to Rock-n-Roll, Too young to die”
Is about an aging elitist Professor trying to hold onto his idealism:

I just ran through the thirty, what a shitty list
Aw c’mon...give us the codpiece version if you’re gonna do it...:)

Do you have their videos?
Great stuff.
I lucked into a TB&TB bootleg several years ago.
One of his best shows, IMO.
I’ve got tons of ideas and not enough time.
My stuff ends up painted on Harleys, though.
Yup.
Must be the snake.
and now for something completely different.
From a really strange movie.
get in a quiet mood and turn up the volume.

Yeah, really. Three chords. Wow.
Oh That's Alice Bowie {Gaye Delorme was the actual guitar player} on Earache My Eye by Cheech & Chong LOL. I only know three chords..
It's strange Duane Eddy never gets mentioned by anyone. Very distinctive player. Another one never mentioned but the song was well know is Tony Peluso who played lead guitar on Goodbye To Love. The guy basically created the guitar part of the song. He played it first like it started out and instead Richard Carpenter told him to burn it up. Not a true rock & roll song by some standards but that is definately Rock he's playing in the song.
The next one who doesn't get enough recognition is Kerry Livgren of Kansas. True he left the group but Carry On my wayward son and Dust in the wind {which was a song he wrote to simply use for his daily practice} were great.
Wow.
Between the incredible a capella performance, the eerie echo, the black and red scene theme, that was just amazing...and haunting.
This version gets honorable mention for historical value

Trust me, if hubby FReeped, Duane Eddy would’ve been loudly mentioned a *long* time ago...LOL
Thanks for watching.
It’s a Spanish version of Roy Orbison “Crying”
It is really moving.
Johnny Rivers is still one of my favorites. I also like his song "I washed my hands in muddy water." Secret Agent Man was his signature song though.
And then when I want my mom to reminisce about her childhood I send her this.
