Monica Lewinsky - Single, living with her mother and still struggling with her weight - but 'set to make $12m with a tell-all book about her affair with Clinton'
Stepping into the pouring rain, her thick hair swept up underneath a cap and rather bizarrely wearing sunglasses despite the gloomy New York weather, the woman went about her business without attracting a single gaze from passers-by.
The first picture of Monica Lewinsky, 39, in public for the first time in a year, paints a very different portrait from the young intern who achieved global notoriety after her sordid Oval Office affair with President Bill Clinton.
But her low-key life may not last much longer amid reports she is planning to pen an intimate, tell-all book about her affair with President Clinton that will plunge her right back into the spotlight.
She's been offered $12m to write the book, according to reports and it is said to include her intimate love letters to the ex-president and how he desired threesomes.
Is it revenge on her former flame? She certainly must have been aggrieved to watch as he managed to keep his family and career together in the fallout that followed the affair. But for Monica, she has never been able to emerge from its shadow and be known for anything other than that girl who wore that dress and had that affair.
There is no husband, as she dreamed of, no boyfriend, and no children, despite saying that she was 'romantic at heart' and that getting married and having kids was 'the most important thing to me.'
Monica cuts a much different figure now than at age 22
What happens to her if she remains Jewish?
She definitely got the shaft.
It's an impulse of a lot of FR males and it just is simply *not* classy. Frankly, it's a kind of icky porn and I'd really like to know what kind of conservatism it actually advances.
It just seems to say, "We hate women, and you know why? Because some of them are really too ugly to live..."
And then there's the notion that maybe some guys get turned on by this stuff? You know, like men who get aroused by shoes and feet.
I am surprised she hasn't died of some "mysterious" ailment already. I don't trust anyone associated with the Clintoons. I doubt a "tell all" book about Bill and Hillary would ever hit a shelf.
Here’s one voice for mercy on her.
'To be fair". . .it was 'their' incident; and more than incidental. To be fair as well; it was Matt Drudge's reporting of it (as Newsweek sat on it) that brought down Clinton. And then of course; there was the Clinton 'lie' that surpassed all others at that time. . .
Do think; given that no one has forgotten; nor was Monica 'forgiven'; but remains frozen between the Oval office and her blue dress; she may as well, capitalize on what simply remains as 'forever 'out there'.
IF the supposed claim of $12 million is what will give Monica freedom from her tortured life then go for it. Having said all this I do not intend on buying her book. Having daily reports of this on Fox of this twisted man during my own children's youth will last me a life time.
LOL. Heartiste always has good references to the hamster.
To me, there were two tragedies of the Monica Lewinsky affair:
1) 68% of the people would not hold Bill Cliton accountable for his crimes of perjury, suborning perjury and conspiring to fix a Federal court case, in addition to lying directly to a Federal judge, and for creating a security risk via blackmail of the office of the President
2) the horrible treatment and vilification of Linda Tripp, whose advice to Monica to save the blue dress saved Monica from becoming another name on the Clinton death list.
That's one depressing Web site.
she went after a married man. she wanted him to divorce his wife and marry her.
and the woman in the story you cite repented. i don’t see any evidence of that on her part, she’s trying to cash in on what she did for 12 million bucks.
i’ve never done what she did. we are told to judge, but to do so righteously - ie non-hypocritically. i’ve never tried to have sex with a maried person when i was single, hoping to break up their marriage and have them mary me. i also have never tried to profit by making a book about my dirty relationship secrets in a tell-all/book for 12 million dollars. and on top of that, be happy people think i’m still a victim and not responsible for conscious bad choices i made.
No, that was on her dress.
she was 22. who among us was perfect at 22?
and what would J.C. do, pharisee?
Boo hoo....actions have consequences.
Did Monica ever repent, seems to me she's reveled in her fame.
