The James Bond Chronicles: 'GoldenEye'
Breitbart ^

Before reboot entered the pop culture lexicon, there was GoldenEye.
The movie is one of the absolute best of the entire James Bond series, due in no small part to a terrific character-heavy script from Michael France, Jeffrey Caine, and Bruce Feirstein.

Sean Connery for me WAS James Bond. Maybe if Connery hadn’t been 007 at the beginning, I could entertain others playing the role. But the fact is Connery DID start the series, and all of the other 007’s paled in comparison.

Y’know I actually liked the opening of DAD. As a whole it was just OK for me.

George Lazenby was foolish not to continue playing James Bond as he was a good one. Lazenby thought the Bond series would go nowhere because of the rising hippie movement.
He couldn't have been more wrong.

Mmmmm, Onatopp, best Bond villainess ever.

I agree. I did like golden eye story. The rest
Of his movies sucked. Haven’t watched more than once. Timothy dalton was better IMHO .

Lazenby was taking advice from the wrong people alright. I often wonder what Diamonds are Forever would have been like had he stuck around. His performance in OHMSS is under-rated by casual observers. I particularly like his athleticism and the scene in Teresa’s hotel suite. If Connery had been in OHMSS people would doubtless regard as a lock for best of the series. The better Bond films are generally the ones with strong plots and villains regardless of who was playing 007.

I agree... Lazenby had it going on, he needed to develop it.

The scene where he met pussy galore is probably the most memorable. The blueray is
Awesome quality for goldfinger.

Are we counting Never Say Never Again as a Bond movie. Fatima Blush (Barbara Carerra) was the best part of that movie. I hope that bronzed this sweater:

I am suffering from withdrawal.
The rerun of all of the Bond movies on my G-Sat has either ended or hit a lull.
I have not seen one in the last week.
