First, the man was 18. The University is not a baby sitter and his parents should have prepared him to be an adult by the time he became an adult. He was a man, not a child.

Second, as unpleasant as it may have been to contemplate, this 18 year old could easily have been restrained by a couple of men who were trained in security. Calling for backup, using some restraining techniques, and putting this man in jail for 30 days for his behavior should have been what happened in this case. Security guy screwed up big time.

Back when, any 18 year old was an adult. Not any more. If you want 18 year old adults, you have to go to Camp LeJeune, NC, or Ft Bragg, NC.

By the same token, however, what is a Kampus Klown doing with authorization to be able to kill underage drunks? Must have been a criminal justice major. So that is 30 days suspension with pay?
