We have a surprise from Connecticut! A small start-up from Manchester is making 80-proof moonshine! It's called Onyx. Moonshine Moves Out of the Mason Jar.

I've not tried it yet. Fun stuff to see young entrepreneurs off to such a good start in life, especially in this economy.

Yikes! I prefer the European, slow, steady drip throughout the day. Sane, relaxed, and functional, but not drunk. No antidepressants, no Valium, and much more functional than being on prescription drugs. A glass of wine at lunch....a little tension easing. It’s not quite the same as an American 3 Martini lunch. Our regard for alcohol is is ridiculously messed up.
