As Turkey slides more and more into Islaminization this becomes increasing less likely.
In fact continued archaeological work in that area (and survival of the site!) becomes less likely, because to the Islamists there is ‘no history prior to Mad Mo’!
Turkey’s trying to attract more tourism. The best approach for Turkey would be to become civilized, instead of having hotel help try to marry 13 year old girl tourists, murder priests, etc.
