From whence I got my info was seeing oswalds marksmenship score cards in fact in his 200 yd shots with an M-1 Garand without a scope, just using iron sights he grouped 2 shots in the inner ring, 6 shots in the middle ring and two more in the outer ring. That added up to a 3.9 out of a possible 4.0 score or so my former Marine uncle (who was a marine at about the same time, mid to late ‘50s) explained to me when he looked at the marksmanship card. Were not talking sniper qualifying here this was basic markmanship but not sure if this is a boot camp scorecard or a post infantry training scorecard, big difference because, if a score from boot camp that means only basic rifleman training whereas he would have gone through much more intensive training in infantry school. There are pics of his marksmanship book and score cards on the internet that can be found by googling. Do soome basic research pal. And remember that the scores will naturally rise with more training beyond that a Marine gets in boot camp, boot camp is beginners training. I would post a pic of the score card I described but I dont know how
Wish you could figure it out ... I need the information for my archives.
