Which is funny, because the range NCOs and his battle buddies have repeatedly said he was one of the worst marksmen they've ever seen. And one of his qualification scores was within two points of being a no-go.

According to his boot camp records he was a mediocre rifleman at best. Just past the minimum requirements to get out of boot camp. Even Posner admitted in his book that Oswald was never more than an average marksman.

The ratings for rifle are expert, sharpshooter and then marksman. Marksman is the lowest rated. Even I qualified as a marksman. It’s on my DD-214. And that was with only two times at the range in San Diego.
