Cats (and humans) will typically rally the day before their last to make their final goodbyes.

You are either a master chess player or an accomplished military strategist. Worse.

Ah, Friday! Its almost as good as intravenous coffee.
Tax-chick ~ I prefer intravenous coffee on Monday.
stephenjohnbanker ~ NOTHING beats intravenous coffee!
It's certainly a lot less intrusive than a coffee enema...

The electric razor buzzing down the staircase ? In the cobra ready to strike position?
Never saw it and mercifully don't remember it...

I try not to emulate Obama.
I also avoid Sprigley’s Rearmint Gum....

I was a Twilight Zone addict. We have a bunch of seasons on DVD—you’ve given me the idea of marathoning TZ’s when it’s snowy, in addition to practicing keyboard (never got past Bingle Jells—musta been the eggnog—or maybe Bush’s fault) and developing craft projects involving plastic grocery bags.

People who aren’t stuff-savers live under much more sanitary conditions than those of us who are collectors. Fortunately, my biggest collection is rocks. You get to keep them outside and they look pretty when it rains on them.

Was it Heinlein who wrote a book about the toasters revolting because, AI’s that they were, they determined that humans weren’t bright enough to run the planet and that the appliances would do a better job?

My great-uncle is a rock collector. He has a large scree in front of his house and down both sides of his sidewalk. Occasionally, he just picks up a likely-looking one and whacks it with a rock hammer to see if it’s an interesting geode.
