Trav, I get the sense -- erroneously or not -- that you believe the war can be waged with information and (reluctantly) application of direct pressure.
I'm coming to the conclusion that, though information and memes are crucial, that this is, in fact, a spiritual fight. This is a God thing. The things that God tells us to do in the various commandments, et. al., also turn out to make a stronger US and a stronger NATION.
Witness the devolution of the military, in which gays now want to have sex in full view of other soldiers in the barracks. This is but one indication of what this truly is -- a moral war. A war of spirituality.
I have had a bad chest and head cold for a few days, and I can’t wrap my mind around any deep or clear thinking. It just won’t go there.

I hope our nation comes to its collective senses and turns back to God, but I honestly do not see it happening. Store food and guns if you think it will help, but I think the only way through is to run to the shelter of Jesus Christ. He is my strength and shield, and I rely totally on His mercy and provision. Welcome to the club. No, I’m not being a smart ass. I’m just saying, the more people who get it, the more chance we have of saving our country and ourselves. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if the things that are taking place are a conspiracy or an evil collection of coincidences...the end result is the same. The liberals/democrats will destroy this country if they continue unabated. I personally believe that it will end if Republicans have their way...just that it will happen a little slower. Conservatives and patriots are the only hope.
I am former army but grew up in a marine town, so I have no hesitation saying...Semper Fi!...when it comes to saving the United States of America.

A God thing. Yes, it is. A God thing in my simple terms is one of unshakable principles. Rules you are given or make for yourself that you never ever violate no matter the situation or the cost. Once you establish those principles as your own you never vary from them. They are your first and last reaction to any situation.
I don’t think I have ever been smart enough to make my own rules of principle so I rely on God and the Constitution, the original version to set my compass.
For a long time we held to our principles and we did not compromise. We allowed others the freedom to believe as they wanted to but in the majority we stood on our principles. Much of that is now gone. We allowed others who did not share our principles to force us to change ours by making us stop doing anything that was different than their principles. We allowed them to practice their principles and allowed them to make us stop practicing ours. Being allowed to not pray, salute the flag, be gay, or whatever was not good enough for them. We had to endorse their action and end ours that were contrarian to their own. And we agreed to do it! The few overruled the many by use of our own laws and goodness! The when could very well have been about 1985 but it was sometime in the last 30 to 50 years.
We let go of God and principles He gave us to live by.
