Did you make that stuff up yourself, or did you read it at a circle jerk somewhere? You've got an interesting mix of truth and crap, and it is not really worth unraveling. To hear you talk about it, one would never know that you needed all of those immigrants (1/3rd of the Army) to win.

Many of them were impressed into the Union army against their will, (What were they fighting for again?) and many of them were sent to die in the South because they always needed more men to throw against Lee's meat grinder.

You should read more history, and not just the stuff you can find on Wikipedia.

Only 2% of the Union army were draftees. Over 20% of the Confederate army were draftees.
