Did the ambassador request additional security? Did Obama even know about his concerns?

It was 9-11. Customarily we are on “high alert” at that time.
The diary indicated HE had serious concerns about his security.
There had been a recent revolt in Libya and the new guys in power contained radical anti-western elements.
So WHY was the U.S. consul sitting in Benghazi in an essentially unprotected position with NO security when this happened??
What about EGYPT?? What about all those OTHER U.S. embassies?
Were Obama and Hillary sleeping or do they really believe their own rhetoric?
