I don’t know that I would shoot him, but I would certainly beat him senseless (or worse)... Mainly because I don’t know if I could get to my firearms before he left the yard. One of the pooper-scooper shovels would be very close at hand...
Then you’re dead because he’s already got his weapon out and he’s used it already.
