Amongst the numerous insults the 'scientific world' hurled at Velikovsky, one can find the birth of the theory of the greenhouse effect invented by Carl Sagan without which Al Gore would have been unable to threaten us with his Global Warming stick.
The greenhouse effect that exists only because Sagan needed a cover when Venus was discovered to be HOT - as Velikovsky had predicted.
