I was doing a little "digging" around on the 'Net tonight and found this site of Roy Masters' called: Roy Masters Statement of Belief - An Open Letter to Churches. In it, he explains his mistakes in earlier years of expressing and formulating his beliefs about Christianity because he was Jewish. On the topic of Jesus Christ and the Bible, he says:

I believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the only begotten Son of God. I believe that Jesus is the Messiah foretold, born of the Virgin Mary, and that accepting His perfect truth is essential to salvation. God is perfectly revealed for us in the fullness of Christ, and so we have His clear example to follow. A person must love this Truth more than worldly life, for it is by faith that we are saved, and not acts.

As far as the concept of the Trinity is concerned, it is a mystery that I am eager to understand. I believe in one God, maker of Heaven and Earth. Therefore, I have trouble accepting the expression that "Jesus is God," since for me that means "Jesus is the Father," the source of all wisdom. I do believe that as God's Anointed—as the Father's Son in whom He was well pleased--judgment over men was given to Jesus, and He is deserving of worship.

I believe the Bible is absolutely the inspired word of God and should be taken literally—leaving reasonable room for honest disagreements that are based on translation differences and passages accepted as unclear. I think part of the reason Christians benefit from interdenominational contact is that we help each other to better know this Book of Life so essential for spreading the Good News. I welcome such help.

As to the idea that Masters teaches he and his followers are "without sin", he explains:

The absurd "I am without sin" quote attributed to me, and repeated endlessly by the media, to the best of my knowledge originally came from US magazine. As you can imagine, trying to describe the process of being "born again" to the average reporter is truly a dangerous prospect, especially if one's reputation will depend on that reporter's understanding of Christian mystery. I was so outraged by the seemingly intentional betrayal in that story that I sued US magazine. My case was so strong that the famous trial lawyer Melvin Belli took it on contingency. US magazine eventually paid me in an out-of-court settlement. But the damage that one article did to the Foundation of Human Understanding has been incalculable, because many Christians have believed it, and some have quoted it to others, who, however well-intentioned, spread this untruth to still others. Of course, only Jesus is without sin. To say otherwise is to deny the whole purpose of His coming into a sinful world in need of redemption. Thus, the Bible states that anyone who says he's without sin is a liar. I believe in the process of being born again, as described in the Gospel of John and in Romans Chapter 6. I believe that when the process is complete, one does not practice sin, but is a "slave of righteousness." If I succeed in being a slave of righteousness, I do so only by Grace, for I could not achieve victory over sin by myself. Christ did it for me, and does it still—every day.

He ends with this statement:

I know now that the "foundation of human understanding" is Jesus Christ. At the core, that is what I teach.

So, Fabian, perhaps you are relying too much on Roy Masters' old teachings and are not aware that he has changed his views on some subjects. Though I will not be a follower of his, there were only a few things he said in this letter with which I have issues, and, perhaps, he is not being as forthright about ALL that he teaches and is only saying what he knows will calm down the Christians who know what they believe AS Christians and who considered him as a cult leader. I'm glad I read this letter, hopefully, you will read it, too. Good night.

This document was one of my sources in my post 16, but which is carefully limited, as he was not being as forthright about key things that he teaches, and does not confess there such things as that he claims he does not sin, and that it is imperative that you deny that Jesus is God, and that his basis for determining reality is highly subjective, all of which is brought out in the debate: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/waltermartindotcom/2011/06/05/walter-martin-takes-on-roy-masters.mp3
