By the way, you guys, other than Tedw, tend to give me long and many pointed questions that are difficult to answer all and then blame me for not addressing everything....yet I have not seen one of you answer my simple question of ~
Since according to you all the main or at least very very important tenent of Christianity is believing Jesus is indeed God, then why in all of his teachings of stories and parables did he not address this and make it one of his important talks like the sermon on the Mt.? There should be at least ONE parable comparing all three...holy spirit, Son, and Father as being equal as you claim...certainly at least one! Correct?

Jesus told us where to go for answers to questions such as this:

“If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. Then if he or she won’t accept the church’s decision, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector.”

Elsewhere, St. Paul refers to the Church as “the pillar and foundation of truth.”

Jesus didn’t speak in philosophical or theological language. We can only guess as to why. His lessons were usually given in parables; stories that are accessible to all people; stories that can be passed down orally.

Nevertheless, the Church teaches dogmatically in precise philosophical and theological language.

Luther’s doctrine of “the Bible ALONE” makes the Bible a dead letter.

Catholics rely on the authoritative teaching of the Church, “the pillar and foundation of truth,” to interpret the Bible —the Bible that the Church gave birth to and preserved.
