On the culinary scale, my branch of the family is tone-deaf concerning protein. Veggies and desserts—no problem. When you have the time to give cooking lessons, please send up a flare!

The BEST book about cooking and eating the right things in the right proportions for the body, especially for diabetics, hypoglycemics, and obese people is the “Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution” book.

Because it follows so closely the diet that is recommended for hypoglycemics, it should also be recommended for diabetics. The carbohydrate diet that “someone” said was best for diabetics is probably the worst lie that was ever invented for the human body, since carbs are converted to sugar.

Every person I have ever talked to who has been on the Atkins’ diet has lost weight and been able to maintain it, as long as they stay on the diet. Ironically, if they get off, they quickly gain weight again and can become diabetic.

Go to Amazon.com and look for a copy.

Don’t just buy the food and follow the recipes. Read the entire book and set up a plan for a life of feeling better.
