They gave me the Earth Science medal at HS graduation (I tried to get out of attending the ceremony but they told me I wouldn’t graduate if I didn’t attend and I actually believed them. Good thing, too. I would have been a really big nightmare rather than a moderate nightmare if I had known the score lol). So much more sophistication! And I never knew I’d be competing until some teacher dragged me somewhere on a valuable Saturday. Things are so much better organized now.
