A man from Chongqing in Southern China nearly suffocated to death after a romantic gesture to his girlfriend went wrong.
Mr Hu Seng had asked his friend to tape him into a box so he could ship himself via a courier service to his girlfriend, Li Wang.
However, the romantic gesture turned into a life-threatening event for Mr Hu when the courier company mixed up the address with another delivery.
The 30-minute wait turned into a three-hour ordeal for Mr Hu.
The material of the box was reportedly too thick for him to make any breathing holes while inside and he did not want to spoil the surprise by calling for attention.
When the box arrived at Li Wang's place, his friend was poised to record the event.
However, they found Mr Hu unconscious and looking pale upon opening the package.
Subsequently, paramedics were called over to her apartment to revive him.
He admitted, "I didn't realise it would take so long."
The courier company said they would not have accepted this delivery if they had known there was a person inside.
The spokesperson said that even for animals, a special container would be used so they can breathe properly.
Jeet?
Starvation diets? Don’t they have 3D printers that can rustle up a meal or something?
C U l8r.
Good morning, sister-girl!
*hugs*
I hope you’re feeling much better today. How is the pain in your arm?
No. Joo?
Welp. I went to the monthly meeting and cornered the maintenance foreman about my sinks. He said, and I quote, “Both sinks? If it was both sinks it should have been listed as an emergency. Instead, it was listed as ‘urgent.’ I’ll have Jorge come over after his lunch.”
What more can I ask for? It was the CSR’s fault for not taking the time to get the correct information. Or blowing off the urgency of it. Either way, I need to write a letter and ask who is training the CSR’s who man the maintenance line.
So I wait.
Zombies.
Definitely zombies.
I think zombies could do a better job...at least they have a desire to be animated...
Mnh.
Finally getting the hang of this place. I knew you posted this before scrolling down to see sig line. What’s the word?
You have a lot more patience than I. I would have resorted to explosives way before now.
Well, maybe.
I’ve known some government zombies who couldn’t be bothered to act animated let alone aspire to be animated.
Howdy!! Helicopters today have been working since 10am. They have been using helicopters for 3 days. It is a wonderful sight to see, because I know they are really trying to stop the fire.
It only grew 150 acres in 24hrs so this is good. Still no rain in sight.
The helicopters get water 150 yards from my place. They used 5 helis 2 days ago. Just a update for you all.
I would have, as well, but this is government housing, and I will have to pay for the damage. Still, I would like to have used Liquid Plumb-R on it LONG before now!
I used a quart of vinegar and a box of baking soda (this time) and a plunger in between applications. But what it did, apparently, was to loosen up all the gunk of all the previous tenants and clog up the drain beyond the traps.
Otherwise, only one sink would be clogged.
Yeah, they’re gonna have to snake it.
Doing so as we speak. I had to go get a mask and cover The Stig. UGH!
Thanks, Sweetie! I have been praying, knowing all will be well, but it is good to hear from you!
LOL!
I called SS shortly after my husband died, and was going to apply for his benefits. (My income at the time was $186 a month disability.)
I gave him my info, and he said, “we can take care of that for you.” I said, “How can you take care of it when I haven’t even told you what I need?” The Bestid put me on permahold.
As Irish would say, “Ejit!”
Afternoon, everyone. I’m glad to hear the standing-water zombies are resolving Bill off to Zambia ...
Kathleen and Jake and I and a pile of dogs had a Nap Attack.
;) helicopters have been flying over the house since 10am with buckets...it is a great sight to see also NO SMOKE TODAY!!!!
Say hello to stig for me!!!!
