Man Nearly Died by Shipping Himself to Girlfriend (As a Romantic Gesture)
AsiaOne ^ | Tuesday, Sep 04, 2012

A man from Chongqing in Southern China nearly suffocated to death after a romantic gesture to his girlfriend went wrong.

Mr Hu Seng had asked his friend to tape him into a box so he could ship himself via a courier service to his girlfriend, Li Wang.

However, the romantic gesture turned into a life-threatening event for Mr Hu when the courier company mixed up the address with another delivery.

The 30-minute wait turned into a three-hour ordeal for Mr Hu.

The material of the box was reportedly too thick for him to make any breathing holes while inside and he did not want to spoil the surprise by calling for attention.

When the box arrived at Li Wang's place, his friend was poised to record the event.

However, they found Mr Hu unconscious and looking pale upon opening the package.

Subsequently, paramedics were called over to her apartment to revive him.

He admitted, "I didn't realise it would take so long."

The courier company said they would not have accepted this delivery if they had known there was a person inside.

The spokesperson said that even for animals, a special container would be used so they can breathe properly.

God moves in mysterious ways. His will is good, and for us to do good, and reject evil. God may have had some pity on that Thursday for the evil done against Him at the dnc convention. It may have been a sign. One can only pray the dnc recognized the raindrops as the tears of God. God moves in mysterious ways.

God moves in mysterious ways.

This is true. Pat claims to understand everything, but I don't believe him.

Humans are prone to make mistakes. Everyone of us. Want to see a human make a mistake; simply keep watching. It is inevitable.

It’s like C.S. Lewis said, if you find the “perfect” Christian congregation, it ceases to be perfect as soon as YOU arrive.

Anoreth is here with her dog, Piper, a beautiful, but nervous, show-class husky. Ash (the ailing greyhound) seems fond of Piper - they were both lying around in the sun today - but the catz are irritated. Shannon won’t do anything but complain, “Nyik ik nyark,” but Jake stages digestive accidents when he’s upset, so I’m having to watch him.

He tried to go in the laundry basket last night. Now I know who did it the last time ... I was actually suspecting one of the byos!

I interpret this to mean that no one has ever really seen God make His dance steps.

God's Break Dance could explain some of the seemingly random destruction that has turned up from time to time.

There’s something about Pat and 666 ... but really, if one were to think about real malevolence, distinguished from alien weirdness, it would be more about Tom. I’m sure I told you about his Slytherin percentile, in the 90s ...

I have a different perspective on the Houses, and particularly Gryffindor, since having read what's extant of Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality.

There are so many trees around here that it’s difficult to locate the bird. Then again, there might have been two of them calling to each other. At least I’m starting to recognize the nonvenomous snakes. Do you have a lot of snakes? We seem to be overloaded with them.

Hugging a kitten fixes many problems.

If there were kitties (holding signs or mimicking viking kitties), perhaps Americans could get the attention of the D.C. idiots and Americans would not be lied to constantly by the pressies and congresscritters? Those are kitties I could hug, and hug, and hug! Sleeping kitties are nice, yet sleeping will not get this job done, as all of us are aware. Doesn't look like anyone is sleeping much nowadays except those three. They are nicely out waiting on the next meal to be handed to them?

Please excuse my rant. It must be hug a kitty time. Could I hug the one with the battle-ax? Bet that kitty would be a great ally!

We went to PetsMart and got 75 large crickets and to Party City and got an 8-foot black plush spider.

I’d sit on the sofa and watch something mindless on tv, but Anoreth’s dog is there - also plush - so I guess I’ll go to bed for a while.

Failed. I was dozing off with Jake the cat on my stomach, but then Kathleen woke up because people were slamming doors downstairs. I picked up Kathleen and got her back to sleep, along with Jake, and then Tom showed up in my room. I got rid of Tom, but then he picked a fight with James on the stairs and woke Jake and Kathleen both up.

Now Frank is screaming. At least Piper is off the sofa now, so I can watch tv.
