This is why I thought Mel Gibson was so clever with his film Apocalypto. He totally brought the horrific ways of the indians to public attention. By the end of the movie, when you see those Spanish galleons floating in the bay, you are flooded with a sense of relief. Western Civilization -- Christendom -- has come to save the day. The movie ends there, but you know it's going to be okay, and that's the point.
And now I'm going to have to watch that movie, like tonight. I've kept skipping over it when I've looked through the Comcast On Demand movies.
