I didn’t get out there. I should point out though that the peak nights are not the only nights, and the train of debris that produces these showers had the random, oddball big chunk of junk that can even be seen in daytime. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a daytime bolide just once, and that was because a kinda slow kid I used to work with was giving his best stoner stare during an outdoor break, and said, “is that a shooting star?” It was something to see. This happened, hmm, either 2002 or 2003, summer.
