I need you to contact a cashier I was making small talk with the other night at Home Depot. I replied that it was ‘the cut of my jib’ in response to something she asked. She insisted that I made the phrase up. You have to back me up. It was in Reading, Ma.. Tell them I was the guy who bought some 2x4’s.

Tell the cashier to listen to Dennis Miller, he uses that phrase quite often.

Now I don’t care who you are, that right there is funny. Listen to Dennis Miller sometime, that is his phrase.
