Many years ago “Soldier of Fortune” had some tactical shooting contest with shotguns. Nearly every contestant had the 870. That was all that I needed to know.
Dunno what SOF criteria were, but I use an Ithaca 37, ‘cause its a bottom feeder, and thus ambidextrous, and an all metal gun, no plastic here..
