I don’t believe for a minute that this is the pick the Left wanted all along. I think Paul Ryan is the one they feared the most.

Let’s face it, liberalism has always had to be propped up with lies, pretzel logic, and revisionist history. Now that Obama has put it all into practice, and our citizens are experiencing what we on the right told them would happen, there are a lot of voters out there who are now ready to listen. They are all ears now. Especially the young. Obama will not win without the youth vote.

I think the Left is shaking in their collective boots.

Paul Ryan is first and foremost a capitalist. He sees the connection between the freedom that capitalism affords and morality. He sees that liberalism has morphed into socialism under Obama. He sees socialism as immoral and capitalism as moral. Because he sees things this way, he is able to make the moral case for capitalism. He is different because he sees that capitalism is not only better, it is morally superior to socialism, and whether we like it or not, this is the debate we are in.

Paul Ryan is a teacher, and this is a teaching moment. By being put into practice, and having failed, liberalism is at its weakest point in recent memory. Perhaps in previous years liberalism could have withstood a confrontation with someone arguing for capitalism on moral grounds. Not in 2012 A.D.

In Paul Ryan’s Norfolk speech, he said that Washington is more concerned about the next election than the next generation. This is a moral argument. I believe Ryan’s statement was directed as much at Republicans in Washington as Democrats. How long have we been waiting for someone to say this? Paul Ryan has been the adult in the room for his entire tenure in Washington, and now HE realizes it.

Oh, and he gets under Obama’s skin.

YES! Shaken down, sifted and condensed..It is a choice between capitalism and socialism (freedom and dictatorship.) Socialism quickly disintegrates into the total slavery of a population..It has never worked and it always ends in horror.
