Over the decades since the discovery, conspiracy theorists have insisted that the debris came from an alien spacecraft, and that the fact was covered up by the military.

It’s too bad the second crash was right on top of the first crashed vehicle, destroying all the evidence of both.
"....and I'll use it"
Electronic pulse-type weapon? Why was there never any information on this aircraft with the pulse weapon?
Of course real silicon transistors and integrated circuits soon followed.
Coinkydink or reverse engineering? /tinfoil
I have been to both crash sites, there is a visible long scar on the ground at one.
The Majestic 12?
Thanks for the ping, Lucy. I think it’s interesting that the Mars Rover vehicle still looks so much like the 1972 Viking space probe pictured at the Daily Mail with the article. In turn they both look a great deal like the “classic” UFO disc-shaped craft that purportedly crashed in Roswell. Just something to think about...
There has always been talk of reverse engineering in regards to the craft recovered at Roswell, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the result is exactly what we saw landing on Mars...
This idiot is delusional. Whatever else may be true there were NO particle beam or directed energy weapons in 1947.
Interesting.
And by the end of 1947 Bell Labs had successfully developed the groundwork for the key active component in practically all modern electronics: the transistor. The rest, of course, is history. That was some quick reverse engineering right there!
I am not confirming or denying the guy’s claims, but I can say this for sure:
If you can build a magnetron, you can build a directed energy weapon, and we were building them at that time.
It doesn’t even take anything as advanced as a klystron or magnetron to generate an EMP pulse, nor a nuclear reaction. A spark gap with a hefty capacitor bank, focused using a waveguide, and you have yourself a very simple directed energy weapon capable of disrupting modern unshielded microelectronics.
To deny that fact would be to discount the work of many great WW2 era scientists and engineers, not to mention just totally disregard most practical applications of high powered RF fields.
I am a middle aged engineer in the semiconductor industry, and I can guarantee you that the technology existed at the time to be able to disrupt what we consider contemporary microelectronics.
I would lean on the side of this not happening the way the guy said though, based on the fact that any sufficiently advanced alien technology base would have proper shielding in place to protect against such directed energy (and I don’t mean star trek/wars shields here, just faraday cages, and lead or foil shielding from cosmic ray particles). You couldn’t fly through space without it.
His claim was that the UFO was fired upon by a beam weapon from a plane....moreover there were no beam weapons at that time. Just because one has components does not a weapon make. I am older than you by twenty years (if you are middle aged). The things I have worked on (and continue to work on) have all been of the SDI variety. Klystrons do not a laser make. Magnetrons do not a directed energy weapon make. It is nice that you do semiconductors...all that equipment that you use to produce the devices is years in the making. The truth is knowing the fundamentals is NOT the same as producing a weapon.
I will believe in ET when he lands in public view and makes contact with humans.
So far, EVERY report of ET has been anecdotal, with zero proof.
Despite all the garbage reported on Kook to Kook, it is hard to believe that any ET life has been here from other star systems that are many light years away.
Just my opinion, and no offense to FReeper ET fans.
Joseph P. Farrell is of the opinion that the Roswell Crash in 1947 was a downed Nazi anti-gravity aircraft.

So French, who was no where near Roswell in ‘47, ‘knows’ that there were, not just one, but two crashes near Roswell. And how does he know this? Because some unnamed friend told him that he shot one of them down with a directed energy weapom mounted in an experimental aircraft.
Well no wonder the USAF never took the UFO’s seriously as a threat! Clearly we didn’t need to reverse engineer any tech from them; ours was already superior! /s
